World Book Day
As part of World Book Day celebrations, the children got to come in dressed as their favourite character or in their cosiest reading clothes. Check out the costumes from our room !! 📚📚

Biodiversity Workshop
The class were lucky to receive a visit off Dale who showed the children types of insects, the plants around the school, stories about different animals and even played some animal games with the children🐛🪰🌿🌱

Procedural Writing
The children have been busy writing step by step instructions of how to make rice crispie buns and then following the recipe - with the last step being to enjoy them!! 🧁👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

Seachtain na Gaeilge 🇨🇮🇨🇮
As part of Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations, the children learned a number of songs and poems as Gaeilge. Alongside this, the children learned 'Shoe the Donkey' with the other senior infant classes. Before St. Patricks day,  the children got to wear green outfits for lá glas and done a parade around the school before performing 'Shoe the Donkey' in the school assembly 👯‍♀️👯👯‍♂️

GAA
The children are now doing GAA with coach Tammie every Monday; playing games and practicing how to solo and handpass a football 🏐🏐🏐

STEM Week 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

As part of STEM week, the children got to trial out different experiments and activities. This included using six bricks for maths lessons, dissolving sugar using skittles in a science experiment, using Beebots on mats, and building a lego maze before blowing a pom pom through the maze. 🧪🔭🔬
