📚 Reading Challenge 📚

This week the children took part in a Reading Challenge! We read the story “Maybe” by Chris Naughton. After we read the story, we watched a video which taught us how to draw the characters in the book! It was great fun. There are some future illustrators in this class! 📚🎨

📚 A Visit to the Book Nook 📚

The children visited the Book Nook this week. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful variety of new books in our Book Nook. The children love reading and looking at the pictures in the books.

🎨 Looking and Responding to artwork by Vincent Van Gogh🎨

📚Story time📚

We had a visit from two first class students from the reading committee this week. They read us some wonderful stories. We love listening to stories and looking at the pictures in the big books.

🍁🍂🍃 Autumn is here! 🍁🍂🍃

We went on an Autumn walk around the school grounds this week. We found lots of different coloured leaves. We were really excited to find acorns and conkers on our walk!

September

September was a busy month settling back into school for our senior infants! We were learning all about our school and the people who work in our school. The children really enjoyed the Aistear theme of ‘School’ this month. They particularly enjoyed taking on the roles of the teacher and principal in the role play corner!

We are learning all about the number 6 this week 🧮
