September's Return to School

In September, we spent some time refreshing our minds of all our wonderful skills and knowledge learnt from first class and settling into our new second class.

New Primary Maths Curriculum

This year, in our school, we have rolled out the New Primary Maths Curriculum. We are having lots of fun learning concepts through playful learning, the use of maths talk using our 'maths eyes' and finding different approaches to answering questions.

Halloween Antics!

We had some fantastic fun in the run up to Halloween. Learning all about different traditions that people carry out and of how to be safe especially when trick or treating. We even made some homemade butter and tried it with a seasonal
'báirín breac'.

Autumn Nature Walk

We were very lucky to have Patrick visit our school and take us on a nature walk of our local area where we got to explore all the different plants, trees and wildlife that we would come across. It was such a fun experience to stop and listen and observe all the wildlife that live in Tymon Park.

Friendship Week

We celebrated Friendship week in our school by celebrating different ways to be a good friend. We created some wonderful acrostic poems in our English lessons.
